this song is so dope and i just love the beat, the lyrics and though i don't always love rihanna's voice, she sounds amazing on this new album. if you haven't heard it yet, you need to check it out.

....and rightly so. i cannot take how amazing this man's style is. he is always fresh and i love watching to see what's coming up next. peep his outfit that he wore to the recent knick vs. heat game. LOVE.

french connection finds...

FRENCH CONNECTION: this brand had such cute dresses! i've known about it for years but i've never actually shopped here. i recently found my bday dress (even though i still don't know what i'm doing) on this site. it had to be ordered from the UK because it wasn't available in the US but believe me, it's incredible. i've posted a few options that were huge considerations but ultimately i ended up going with something else. you'll have to wait and see what i came up with! ;) i will spill that my shoes will be some of my faves...tribute's from the lovely ysl.

these are my fave looks for the week. diddy's coat is so clean and i would love to see more guys rocking things like this. it's hard because i live in LA so it doesn't really call for this type of coat but if the weather ever changed, it'd be my top pick.

cassie's fur is crazy and i know it's odd to come right after a PETA post, but this fur is something serious. love the shoulders and the cut....the shoes are great too! loveee this look.

i have to give it up to PETA for these new ads. i am loving them....these are always done so tastefully and not to mention Taraji's body is killing. i'm jealous....to learn more about PETA check out www.peta.org.

back in the day....

i think this is the cutest pic of me & my mommy and a couple of my cousins. i know that "back in the day, when i was young i'm not a kid anymore but some days i sit and wish i was a kid again," but honestly, i don't mind growing up because i can look back at beautiful memories like this. my mommy is truly my best friend and this little easter picture just warms my heart.

sights to see

i had an amazing time in Park City, Utah this weekend. while it was a ton of work - no sleep, limited time to eat, partying & drinking, i was with my co-workers whom i love to be around so it really made everything much better. the time passed faster and the craziness was minimized, simple because i was around those i enjoy. i'm so lucky to work with people that i genuinely like to be around....

flying the friendly skies

i travel pretty often with my job. i'm thankful to have a job that allows me to do so and honestly, the time on the plane is so relaxing and therapeutic for me. i'm not worried about emails, what's going on down on the ground or really anything for that matter. i've never had a fear of flying, so that doesn't bother me in the least, i think it's quite amazing how we can get across the country in hours, via a mechanical bird.

if you're hopping on a plane anytime soon, try to just let your mind go....why worry about what's going on, on the ground? there's nothing you can control from thousands of miles in the air....so take the opportunity to just BE....or go to sleep. whatever floats your boat....or should i say, flies your plane. ;)

i am looking forward to jet-setting between Park City, Vegas and NYC in the next few months....i'll have lots of pics and goodies to share....stay tuned.

artistic expression

some call it vandalism....some call it art. whatever you decide, you can't deny it's beauty....

living in LA, i've seen it all - gang grafitti, grafitti art exhibits, tagging, etc. but when i travel to NY, i am blown away by the colorful, vibrant, artistic aerosol creations. i also think i like NY graffiti more because it is truly an artistic expression rather than a gang from another neighborhood maliciously covering someone else's work.

i snapped the above shot on highland and edgewood and it jumped out at me...i thought the colors were beautiful and for some reason it just spoke to me...what do you think? art or not?

Happy MLK Day!

it's so funny, one of my first memories of Dr. King was when i was growing up i thought the picture of my grandpa on the mantle was DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. they favor each other so much, and it made perfect sense that we'd have a picture of the activist smack in the middle of my living room.

though we didn't get the day off today, i will make sure that when i get home i take a moment to consciously reflect on all of the sacrifices Dr. King made for people of color. we reap the benefits of it everyday but i think as more time passes, the younger generations take everything for granted. this is my personal oath to do my best at instilling the tremendous impact that Dr. King had on all of our lives to the youngins....continue to rest in peace Dr. King.

my saving grace

have an orange carrot juice...not only does it taste amazing but it's good for you. i've recently started drinking them and they add to my "natural" glow too ;)

i am in love with 3 finger rings. i picked up this dope one a while back and i get so many compliments on it. i feel like the add just the right amount of edge to an outfit.

KANYE & CIARA win my awards for the best style this week. kanye was his flamboyant self in this knee-length fur coat, leather pants and j's. cici was looking uber fab in this dope jean jacket by Henry Holland and i die over the snakeskin shorts.

this is a sight you won't see in LA that often....

PINK'S doesn't have a line. the famous hot dog spot is not only known for it's amazing food, but is also infamous for the ridiculous lines. i happened to catch it with barely any wait time at all....so i thought i'd document it. by the way this is around 7pm on a tuesday night.
